Pastor Israel Ford introduced his second wife to his church — and the internet immediately had something to say about it.
But what does the Bible actually say about a man having multiple wives?
In this message, I go directly to the scriptures. From Exodus 21:10 and Deuteronomy 21:15–17 to Isaiah 4:1 and Matthew 25:1–10, we examine what God’s Word says — not modern Western culture, traditions, or personal feelings.
Abraham, Jacob, Moses, David, Solomon and many other men throughout the Bible had multiple wives. So the question is simple:
If multiple wives are forbidden by God, where is the law that says it is a sin?
“For sin is the transgression of the law.” — 1 John 3:4
This message may challenge what you’ve been taught, but open your Bible, examine the scriptures for yourself, and have allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to you.
